    Hi! This may be a long shot, but I'm currently a student at Wayne State University's School of Information Sciences. For one of my courses this semester, I need to interview someone in a leadership position who works in a public library in South Carolina or California with at least five years of professional experience. I live in Michigan and have quite a few local connections, but none outside my state. If you're willing to participate, please let me know! It would likely involve a Teams meeting for about 30-40 minutes in 2-3 weeks, and your information (name, institution, position) will not be shared with anyone aside from my instructor.

    Hi Hayley,

    I'd be happy to help you, but I'm not sure that I've got the experience you need. I have been in libraries for 13 years, started as a Volunteer and then progressed through my library and have two different paraprofessional roles, then was the Youth Services Librarian for 9 years, then moved into the Director role of this library in 2024. So only 2 years of Director experience, but 13 years of increasing responsibilities. If you get desperate and your instructor let's you, I'm happy to help! :) mbailey@prcity.com
