Marcos Martinez pursued his Master of Library Science degree via the distance education program at Texas Woman’s University and graduated the summer of 2011. He completed his undergraduate studies at Texas State University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in Geography-Urban and Regional Planning and a minor in Public Administration. He developed his professional skills while working at the Schneider Music Library at Texas State University during his undergraduate career and at McAllen Public Library during his graduate career. Mr. Martinez is currently employed with the City of Garland at the Nicholson Memorial Library System as a Librarian. He plans to begin research in social media and community partnerships with the intent to pursue a doctorate in public affairs in 2013.
