Bio

Hi, all! I'm an information professional, librarian, and consultant based in Rochester, NY. 

In ALA, my journey has primarily focused on the Library Leadership and Management Association (now part of Core). I co-founded and chaired the New Professionals Community of Practice in LLAMA in 2013, which offered a model for LLAMA's restructuring around 2016. I was honored to serve on that restructuring committee and to rejoin the LLAMA Board as its final president. Ultimately, this work informed the construction of Core as a new division that reflects the agility and new member focus that ALA needs.

I've also spent a term on ALA Council, served on ALA's Planning and Budget Assembly, and spent time in collaboration with ACRL, RUSA, and the Rainbow Round Table (not to mention my ALA governance live-tweeting since 2012. which is most of my Twitter brand).

In the LIS world beyond ALA, I've worked as a science librarian, program manager, technical analyst, and consultant. Currently, I work for DeEtta Jones and Associates, a consulting firm that serves libraries of all types, higher education, corporations, healthcare, and non-profits. My specialties are strategic planning, EDI/anti-racism initiatives, board governance, and online learning.
