Our primary purpose is to assist, as needed, ALA Presidents with the selection of projects to receive the award and to create/maintain guidelines for the selection process. Committee members may assist with the preparation of the citations and publicity as well.

This community is created to provide a forum for sharing information among chairs of the International Relations Round Table Committees. The community was created as an alterative to the IRRTCOM discussion list since additions to IRRTCOM have not been made for some time. Please participate, IRRT Committee Chairs!
For Chairs and members of IRRT members to share discussions, plan actions, and archive conference activities including meeting minutes and programs presented.
Our project is to identify and select free web-based tutorials & professional development information for librarians in other countries to access via the Internet. The project will help international librarians stay current with library information and trends in the United States and elsewhere. The intended audience is librarians or library staff members who do not have the funds to travel to conferences or regular access to professional development resources in their own countries and want to advance their skills in emerging areas. The identified areas of professional development the project focuses on are grant opportunities, collection development, digital collections, information literacy, leadership and management, and technology training and issues. The resources will be pulled together into an online format linked from the IRRT website. These links will be evaluated by the group to determine relevance, accessibility/format, language choices, organization, and currency. The progress will be reviewed by outside international librarians periodically
