The Intellectual Freedom Round Table (IFRT) provides a forum for the discussion of activities, programs, and problems in intellectual freedom of libraries and librarians.

The IFRT Members Community group is the central hub for discussion, library and events. It is visible to all ALA members but only IFRT members can participate in the conversation.

When:  Apr 15, 2020 from 03:00 PM to 04:00 PM (CT)
Associated with  IFRT Members Community (Open)
The library profession recognizes privacy as a necessary condition for intellectual freedom, and privacy literacy is an emerging focus of library instruction and programming. Sarah Hartman-Caverly and Alex Chisholm will share insights from delivering privacy literacy instruction in Penn State Berks's four-part Privacy Workshop Series. They will share outcomes, teaching materials, learning activities, and assessment results from the Privacy, Digital Leadership, Digital Shred, and Digital Wellness workshops, which operate as both standalone and interconnected co-curricular one-shot sessions. They will also share their Digital Shred Privacy Literacy Toolkit, featuring ideas and materials for developing privacy literacy instruction programming for your local community.
