The Intellectual Freedom Round Table (IFRT) provides a forum for the discussion of activities, programs, and problems in intellectual freedom of libraries and librarians.

The IFRT Members Community group is the central hub for discussion, library and events. It is visible to all ALA members but only IFRT members can participate in the conversation.

You may have noticed an increase in censorship news. You would not be wrong. This week's Intellectual Freedom News has 48 news stories in the censorship section.

You can always read the Intellectual Freedom News on the blog. You can also recieve it directly to your inbox by subscribing.  You can find a lot of information on twitter if you follow the hashtag #IntellectualFreedom. Right now there's also free standard shipping on all of the products in the ALA Graphics Giftshop. (Purchases and donations support the Office for Intellectual Freedom's work in defending and promoting the freedom to read.)
