    Hello,

The ALA Committee on Professional Ethics (COPE) would appreciate feedback on the revised preamble of the ALA Code of Ethics by Sunday, May 1, 2022. Please feel free to share this message widely.

Feedback and comments can be posted on the Google Doc (linked above). COPE requests that you post comments in suggesting mode on the document rather than edit the document directly.

The Committee on Professional Ethics will revise the draft in light of your suggestions and plans to distribute the documents to ALA Council prior to ALA Annual Conference in Washington D.C. The committee also plans to present the preamble at ALA Council Forum for further feedback.

Thank you in advance for your suggestions, and please let me know if you have any questions,
