The Intellectual Freedom Round Table (IFRT) provides a forum for the discussion of activities, programs, and problems in intellectual freedom of libraries and librarians.

The IFRT Members Community group is the central hub for discussion, library and events. It is visible to all ALA members but only IFRT members can participate in the conversation.

    IFRT Members,

    Now that the election is over I am able to make the Committee appointments for the 2025-2026 year.  Many of you have submitted the Volunteer Form already, but if there is anyone who had considered involvement and did not have a chance to respond there is still an opportunity.   Please send me an email  or respond pm in CONNECT before Wednesday, April 16, subject heading IFRT COMMITTEE ASSIGNMENT!  I  have reserved that entire day  away from the desk, with post-its and dry erase markers,  because I am a visual person with ADD.   Here is a link to the committees, and a brief description of responsibilities.
