The Intellectual Freedom Round Table (IFRT) provides a forum for the discussion of activities, programs, and problems in intellectual freedom of libraries and librarians.

The IFRT Members Community group is the central hub for discussion, library and events. It is visible to all ALA members but only IFRT members can participate in the conversation.

    One of your member benefits is to vote for the Association's future member leaders. The 2022 election is an important opportunity for your voice to be heard. The 2022 ALA Election will open March 14, 2022 and will run through April 6, 2022.

     

    The ALA Presidential and Treasurer Candidates Forum will be held on Wednesday, February 16 at 1:00 p.m. Central Time. This is your opportunity to become more informed about the candidates. Register today to participate in the Forum. You may also submit a question in advance using this link.

     

    Immediately following the forum, ALA members have the opportunity to virtually meet and greet each candidate. To join the 'Meet the Greet' session, please register here.

     

    ALA Councilor-at-Large candidate biographies are now available for your review. To learn more about this year's candidates, visit the ALA Election Information website. If you are a member of a Division and/or Round Table, you will receive access to vote for those specific ballots. Other resources such as the Election Guide is also made available on the ALA Election website.

     

    ALA is partnering with election vendor, Survey and Ballot Systems to conduct our spring elections. Members will receive an e-mail from "ALA Governance Office" at noreply@surveyandballotsystems.com enabling you to cast your vote.
