So we've been busy lately!  The GameRT site is better than ever - we've migrated a lot of information over from the FAQ that Scott Nicholson set up and from the old ALA gaming wiki, and added and updated a lot more.  Check it out when you can!

Here's the thing, though - we need editors, and more content.  Please look it all over and add what you know (or clean up what's there!).  A lot of the stuff from the old wiki was pretty outdated, and it's still a little disorganized, particularly the "Library Resources" page.

In addition, in the interests of having only one site that needs updating, we were looking at possibly deleting the old wiki (found at http://gaming.ala.org/resources/index.php?title=Games_and_Gaming_Resources)  Would there be any objections to that?

Looking forward to seeing what you all think, and to making the site even better!

I know I'm not alone in being a little overwhelmed at this time of year, so I just now had a minute to look at all of the new content on the GameRT website, and all I can say is hooray! It's great to finally have all of that information getting updated and available in one place under the GameRT banner.

I know you're all doing lots of great things with gaming in your libraries, so I hope you'll contribute your ideas, programs, resources, etc. For example, I know at least a few libraries have run games of Humans vs. Zombies, and we've had a lot of great descriptions of activities noted in the International Games Day surveys.

Thomas, what's the best way for people to submit their content to be added? Can they comment on this post or should they get in touch with you?

    Great job!
    Jenny

I have over 35 alignment sheets for the board games in our collection and you could also link to my articles "Board in the Library" on Webjunction.

i also like what has been updated on the site. I'd  recommend including one additional resource under library resources- nonfiction books... It's the recent book I edited: Games in Libraries: Essays on Using Play to Connect and Instruct. I'm not just tooting my own horn- there are chapters from a variety of librarians in different types of libraries about how to use games in libraries for instruction and outreach. Thanks for also including information from the Game Making IG wiki. I'd like it if you could also link back to our wiki pages though if you can. So they can find more information. Thanks!

Well I'm glad you all like it so far!  I would, ideally, like to have it open for editing by any GAMERT members, so we can all contribute without the need for an intermediary.  Is the "Edit" tab showing up on the site when you log in?  If not, I can look into opening that up a bit.
