  • 1.  Idea for Annual Program

I'm interested in creating a panel of librarians involved in gaming programs at their libraries. It would cover as many types of libraries (public, academic, special, etc...) as possible to show that gaming programs can work in various settings. We would talk about what programs we have done, successes, failures, etc... and then open it up to the floor to ask questions. Would anyone be interested in doing this type of program? As a children's librarian in a public library, I can talk about what I've done, but I think it would be a more successful program if we can target all or as many as the different types of libraries.

I would love to be a part of the panel. I work at a system level supporting school libraries. I push in and use tabletop games to support curriculum, do design programs with kids as projects for demonstrating content mastery and I also work with students with special needs and enrichment programs. I'll be at annual, so count me in!

I too would love to be part of this.  My concern would be getting to annual.  If you are part of a session, does the association pay for your conference? :)

I work with the game developers club on our campus, who meet regularly in the library and sometimes do special events here as well as some game days. I would be happy to be a panelist about these things. I also am active in International Games Day, so I could talk about that too.

I'm going to start working on the proposal. Please send me any ideas.
