The Games and Gaming Round Table (GameRT) needs volunteers at ALA Annual in San Francisco. Showcase your gaming skills during Annual this year at ALAPlay, the GameRT Lounge, or the GameRT booth. GAMERT is looking for volunteers for all three spaces.

    • ALAPlay needs volunteers to hand out raffle tickets at the door, be game shepherds, hand out and collect evaluations of games played, and man the unpub tables during this Friday night event. Signups for this would be for the whole event, Friday from 7-10pm.

    • GameRT Lounge needs volunteers to help manage the events and facilitate play in this exhibit floor space. There will also be a callout for people who want to talk and share what they’re doing in their libraries in special sharing sessions in the lounges so keep an eye out! Signups would be for 1 hour slots.

    • GameRT booth needs volunteers to hand out information about GameRT, International Games Day, and our Annual presentations and activities. You will be working the booth with both Fantasy Flight Games and Academy Games. Signups would be for 1 hour slots.

Come get your game on and be a volunteer to promote games and gaming in libraries. If interested in volunteering at one of these spaces or all three, please reply to this post or email me at laura.t.bos@gmail.com. Also, please let me know what you are interested in volunteering for. It’s going to be a great year at ALA Annual! Thanks!
