The following message is sent on behalf of the 2022-2023, Council Orientation Committee
Dear Councilors,
You are cordially invited to the next Tune in Tuesday session. For those of you who are serving your first term on Council, we know that it can be a little overwhelming even for those who have served before. Instead of presenting a lot of information at one time just before you have your first Council meeting, we plan a series of virtual events (Tune in Tuesdays) throughout the year addressing the different aspects of Council.
On Tuesday, April 4th, during this town hall style of event, you will learn about the ALA Round Tables from chairs of those tables.
The chairs will answer the following questions:
What is their Round Table built to do?
What concerns do they want every councilor to know about?
What do they want the Council to do for them?
How can they attract more members (or are they a limited size RT no matter what)?
What do they expect their RT to look like in 5 years? 10 years?
This is the second installment. The recording of the first Round Table session can be viewed at https://www.ala.org/aboutala/governance/council/councilrecordings
Register in advance for this meeting: https://ala-events.zoom.us/meeting/register/tJAucOmtrjkpH9XHZ-MAAQK6OuOD0bxpykNz
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
