Get your community Reader Voter Ready with ALA's new resources
With 80-some days until the 2024 election, ALA is pulling out the stops to make sure library workers in every context and their communities are Reader Voter Ready. We've designed everything from a library election guide to a League of Women Voters collaboration kit to customizable promotion materials to highlight key dates in your district and your own voter education/registration events. Our webinars spotlight activities of libraries – school, academic and public – to prepare their communities for November 7 and beyond. To view those resources, view webinar recordings and sign up as a National Voter Registration Day (Sept. 17) library partner, visit www.ala.org/readervoterready. We also want to hear what your library is doing to get patrons Reader Voter Ready! Please share your story (and photos or video) at the link on our web page. For more information on the campaign, contact Shawnda Hines, shines@ala.org, in the Public Policy and Advocacy Office.
