I, too, find the loss of information extremely alarming. A colleague shared this document from the Committee on Legislation. Data Rescue Efforts

Good morning all,
Under this new administration, I've been alarmed by the amount of government data that has been removed from various government sites.
I'm wondering if any actions have been taken to pool together alternative sources for access. Does anyone have information on whether efforts have already been made or if this is something that we should act upon?
I'm aware of several sites and databases that still hold some of the scrubbed data but it would be great if some entity within ALA could provide guidance on navigating to alternative, trusted places to find the data. Not sure if this requires a resolution or if we create a recommended action item for an ALA committee but hoping others will weigh in.
