Hello All:
This group provides a space for new directors to find community, share ideas, and seek support from others. It is not formally restricted to only new directors and anyone may subscribe. Although we have seen largest participation by individuals with the title of "director" and "dean," leadership can take many forms within an organization. We are hoping that participation by directors of varying experience - including some who have been long-term directors - will strengthen the discussion. And as it was created under the LLAMA banner, it is not restricted to any specific library type.
COVID and the creation of ALA's Core Division may have distracted many during 2020, but I'm hoping we might re-engage through this Connect Community.
We have found some of our best success when an individual creates a separate and thematic thread by using the "Post New Message" tab.
Looking forward to hearing from folks and finding community.
