The Core Creative Ideas in Technical Services Interest Group (CITSIG) seeks an interested person to serve a three year leadership term:  Vice-Chair from (July 2022/July 2023), Chair (June 2023/July 2024) and Past-Chair (June 2024/June 2025).

As an interest group within ALA Core, the Creative Ideas in Technical Services Interest Group provides a forum for discussion of technical services issues which are relevant to library staff at all levels, particularly those issues relating to how technical services are integrated into the broad spectrum of library services through advances in use of technology or functional and service design.

ALA Core CITSIG is managed by three lead members:  the Chair, Vice-Chair and Past-Chair, who work closely together to administer and execute all aspects of the roundtable activities.  At minimum, these activities include discussions held during the Interest Group meetings at the ALA Annual Conference and ALA Core Interest Group Week, held in early spring.

Required tasks include collaborating with CITSIG leads to ensure calls for proposals are posted to listservs, as well as vetting proposals, sending promotional emails to listservs, coordinating logistics with interest group discussion facilitators, and managing all aspects of in-person and virtual meetings.

*Interested applicants must be a member of ALA Core.*

For the three year period (July 2022-June 2025), interested applicants may be required to attend the in-person Annual Conferences of ALA and must be able to organize and attend the Core Interest Group Week each spring.

Those interested in becoming Vice-Chair of the Creative Ideas in Technical Services Interest Group should submit a letter of interest that includes:

       - A short biographical sketch introducing yourself and sharing why this group and role is of interest to you

       - A statement indicating your tentative availability to attend in-person ALA Annual Conferences and ALA Core Interest Group Week for July 2022-June 2025

       - Your resume or CV as an attachment

Review of letters of interest will begin on March 18, 2022.

Please submit your letter to Susan Martin, ALA Core CITSIG Chair, Susan.Martin@mtsu.edu and Laura Sill, ALA Core CITSIG Vice-Chair, ljenny@nd.edu.
