    Good morning colleagues,

IFLA elections have begun this week and it's a very competitive election, with double the amount of sections having fewer spots than candidates. This year, I am running for a spot on the Preservation and Conservation Section's Standing Committee with the support of ALA. If you are eligible to vote in IFLA's elections, please consider voting for me. In working with collections for nearly 15 years, I've enjoyed finding unique solutions to each organization's preservation concerns. But it's glaringly obvious that across the world, while collections and climates may differ, each of us similarly strives to preserve our cultural heritage. Strength can be had in numbers for both increasing the voice of the preservation community and sharing knowledge gained for the benefit of our local and global heritage. Increasingly in my career, I'm passionate about making and maintaining these world-wide cooperatives to further develop and share our knowledge and experience. If you have questions for me, I'm happy to answer them. And if you have any contacts eligible to vote and you feel so inclined to pass on my email and contact info, please do!

    Thank you all,

    Miranda
