With the ongoing disruption to library operations caused by COVID-19, technical services managers are facing challenges to continue processing library materials while taking precautions to create a safe working environment for the staff. In this informal and interactive discussion forum, we invited our colleagues from four institutions with a diverse size of cataloging units. They will share their experiences managing cataloging staff and coordinating cataloging workflows, including tips and tools during the pandemic. Our panelists are:

    • Jeanette Norris, Manager, Monographic Cataloging Latin Script Unit, Technical Services, Yale University Library
    • Lia Ryland, Cataloging and Metadata Coordinator/Catalog Librarian, Collection Management Services, San Francisco State University
    • Rebecca Belford, Technical Services Librarian, Oberlin Conservatory Library
    • TJ Kao, Head of Metadata Creation, Content Support Services, Peter J. Shields Library, University of California, Davis
