I'm sorry for the delay in writing about the upcoming ALA Midwinter meetings. We have only received one of the three petitions for renewal from the interest groups, so I don't think there is enough business to warrant having an in-person meeting at Midwinter. This is often the case with this committee.
You'll see in the schedule that we have 8:30 to 10:00 AM on Sunday reserved as part of the CMS All Committee Meeting. You can disregard that, as we will not have a formal meeting. However, if anyone would like to meet up to discuss anything at that time, I would be happy to do so. Just let me know.
We should receive the second renewal petition soon, at which point I will forward the two to everyone for online discussion. The third IG is in the process of rethinking their statement of purpose and will not complete their petition for a few weeks.
