    The LCIG leaders and members are looking forward to a stimulating ALA Annual Conference. The group is sponsoring or co-sponsoring three programs of interest to library consultants and independent library professionals. Please tell your colleagues about:


    ·        Saturday 6/29/2013 from 1:00 – 2:30 (MPCC N427bc) Beyond Brainstorming: Making More Effective Decisions with Joan Frye Williams, library consultant and futurist.


    ·        Sunday 6/30/2013 from 8:30 – 10:00 (MPCC S404a) Do Those Evaluation Statistics Mean Anything? a panel sponsored by the Library Consultants Interest Group and the ALA Committee on Research and Statistics. The program is moderated by Sara Laughlin, Director of the Monroe County Public Library and features Carlos Manjarrez, Director of Planning, Research, and Evaluation at IMLS, Matthew Birnbaum, PhD, Research and Evaluation Officer at IMLS, William Wilson, Partner with Himmel & Wilson, Library Consultants, and Laura Stone, Federal and State Grants Manager at the Arizona State Library, Archives and Public Records.
