Subject: Open Letter to SCOE
In response to the preliminary reports at annual from the Steering Committee for Organizational Effectiveness and in light of their upcoming meetings to discuss the input they've received and craft their final recommendations, several Round Tables have signed on to an open letter to SCOE regarding their concerns regarding the impact of the suggestions we've seen on Round Tables in particular and the membership in general.
The signing Round Tables are:
- Film and Media Round Table
- Government Documents Round Table
- New Members Round Table
- Retired Members Round Table
- Social Responsibilities Round Table
- Sustainability Round Table
The letter is accessible at http://bit.ly/SCOE-ALA-Council and will be sent to the executive board and to members of SCOE today.
