    Dear colleagues,

We are conducting a research project aimed at examining the lived experience of women librarians of color in tenure- and promotion-track positions. We hope to learn about and examine how one’s identity as a woman of color impacts one’s tenure/promotion and overall career advancement. Findings will be disseminated within the forthcoming title, Pushing the Margins: Women of Color and Intersectionality in LIS (edited by Rose L. Chou and Annie Pho), with potential for other future publications.

This online survey is expected to take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete. Participants must be 18 years or older in order to take this survey. Participation is voluntary, and participants are free to skip any questions they do not wish to answer as well as withdraw from the survey at any time. At the end of the survey, participants will be invited to leave their contact information for a follow-up interview. This is strictly voluntary, and contact information will be kept separate from survey responses. There are no anticipated risks associated with participation in this study.

This study has been reviewed and approved by the Syracuse University Office of Research Integrity and Protections (ORIP) and the University at Albany Office for Pre-Award and Compliance Services (PACS).
