Librarian Faculty, Part-time

This is a part-time, temporary, on-call librarian position primarily intended to provide course-integrated information literacy instruction. Schedule will vary depending upon instruction requests from teaching faculty.
Master’s degree or 27 graduate credits hours in Library Science or Information Science, from an ALA-accredited institution. Knowledge of information concepts, teaching and assessment methods, and instructional technology. Ability to work independently. Strong ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with faculty, staff and students of various cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds and ages.
Requires the ability to work with staff and students.
Provide individual, class and course-integrated instruction, and conduct orientation tours and public relations/services.
Collaborate with classroom faculty and librarians to prepare online research guides and bibliographies.
May provide instruction and tutorials to distance learners via course management software.
Maintain familiarity with, and knowledge of, current library technologies and their applications.
Participate as a team member of the library.
Perform other duties as required to carry out the objectives of the position.
