    Interest has been expressed in the potential for developing standards for the faceting of subject terms in catalogs and discovery systems. We plan to explore this together at our meeting in January 2012.

    Little consistency is evident so far. Even within one discovery system the facets offered may change if a limit is applied for library materials. Maybe the availability of distinctively tagged subject metadata is a critical factor?
