This space is for all those interested in updates and discussion regarding Transforming ALA Governance. This space was originally created to share the work of the Steering Committee on Organizational Effectiveness (SCOE) who was charged in June 2018 to carry out a comprehensive review and study of ALA’s governance, member participation and legal structures and systems, with the goal of proposing changes that will vitalize its success, strength and agility as a 21st century association. The results of this committee are the Forward Together recommendations.

    Hello Members!

    The Virtual Input Sessions for the Steering Committee on Organizational Effectiveness are now available on ALA Connect! The sessions present the same material, but folks ask different questions in both, so feel free to watch one or both and fast forward to the input part. If you haven't done so already, we encourage you to let us know what you like about the Preliminary Recommendations and suggestions for improvement of the recommendations. We're gathering input for the next week or so and will spend August and September refining our recommendations.
