    Dear ALA Council,

    I am happy to present the ALA Governance schedule for the 2025 LibLearnX: The Library Learning Experience (LLX) in Phoenix, AZ! Please mark these meetings on your calendars. Please note the meetings below are recommended or required:


    Pre-LibLearnX Virtual Meeting

    ·      Tuesday, January 14th 3:00 pm -4:00 pm CT–Virtual Membership Information Session (Council attendance strongly recommended)

    ALA Governance Meetings during the Library Learning Experience (LibLearnX) Event

    • Friday, January 24th 1:00-5:00 pm MT – ALA Governance Institute (in-person) (Council attendance strongly recommended)
    • Saturday, January 25th 11:00-12:30 pm MT – ALA Council Orientation (hybrid) (Council attendance strongly recommended)
    • Saturday, January 25th 2:30-3:00 pm MT – ALA-APA Council Meeting (hybrid) (Council attendance required)
    • Saturday, January 25th 3:00-5:00 pm MT – ALA Council Meeting I (hybrid) (Council attendance required)
    • Sunday, January 26th 2:00-3:00 pm MT – Executive Board Candidates Forum (hybrid) (Council attendance strongly recommended)
    • Sunday, January 26th 3:00-5:00 pm MT – ALA Council Meeting II (hybrid) (Council attendance required)
    • Monday, January 27th from 1:00-5:00pm MT – ALA Executive Board Meeting (hybrid) (Council attendance strongly recommended)

    Council documents will begin to be shared starting the week of January 6th, so we encourage you to check Council Connect regularly.

    Reminder: All Councilors intending to attend in person must register for LLX. Councilors participating virtually are not required to register for the conference but must register for the Zoom webinar. Eligible Councilors will receive a separate email with their voting credentials.  Members who are not Councilors and wish to observe ALA governance meetings virtually do not need to register for LLX, but they must register for the Zoom webinar.
