I know ASGLA is gone, But the ALA page for transitions goes to an Indonesian site. Can anyone tell me the location that sorts where  ASGLA activities are now?

I mean of course Association of Specialized Government and Cooperative Library Agencies (ASGCLA)....it was dissolved in 2020 and the links of the transition page are redirecting to a non-ALA site.
Details about the dissolution of ASGCLA are include in ASGCLADirect articles: ASGCLA Transition 2020https://www.asgcladirect.org/2020/07/asgcla-transitions-2020/ and Interest Group Transitionhttps://www.asgcladirect.org/2020/08/interest-group-transition/.

if anyone has the Interest group transition documents please share.

Hi Kathleen, that is odd indeed. I see the problem: ALA's ASGCLA page has a link labeled "ASGCLA Transitions 2020 - Updates" that links to the website you cite. That definitely needs attention. This being a holiday weekend I anticipate it will take several days to sort this out.

As a Board member, I have received several updates on the migration of services/activities formerly under ASGCLA, the latest as recently as November's Board meeting, in the Executive Director's update. The document is here, and the ASGCLA transition update is on pages 3 and 4:

Hope this helps - and yes, that odd web page needs to be fixed!

Karen, thank you so much. That is what I need.
I added a new class late in the semester for spring term and am to the last week of class prep where I would link to ASGCLA sites and never expected to  find the transition document unavailable. This was a shoutout that I only hoped would get heard on a holiday weekend. You are the best librarian. Much appreciation and Happy New Year!

I was just circling back to this as I was looking for some of the toolkits ASGCLA used to have and the website issue is still unresolved. Are the toolkits spread out to each unit that was designated?

    Hi all.

The Accessibility Assembly now resides in RUSA and is currently working on updating the Toolkits.  Here is the link: https://www.ala.org/rusa/documents-topic-standards-guidelines-and-recommendations  Scroll down to the bottom of the page.  FAFL Interest Group is also in RUSA.

Many of the other interest groups, including Consumer Health, Alzheimer's and Related Dementias and  Library Services to the Justice Involved, among others, moved to ODLOS.  Here is the list:  https://www.ala.org/aboutala/offices/diversity/groups

The other interest groupssuch as the eBook interest group moved to CORE.  Here is the list: https://www.ala.org/core/member-center/interest-groups/ebooks

I hope this helps.  If not, let me know what I missed.
Provides a regular forum for discussion and to meet at Annual Conferences and Midwinter Meetings. Core represents a large segment of libraries and can be influential with publishers and vendors to benefit libraries and library users as the ebook landscape evolves. Core welcomes any type of library or library agency, as well as consortia, to join this group.

Under the auspices of the Office for Diversity, Literacy and Outreach Services Advisory Committee, the office liaises and coordinates activities with five committees, three ALA roundtables, and nine ALA affiliate organizations. Committees ODLOS Advisory Committee and subcommittees Diversity Research Grant Advisory Committee, an ODLOS Advisory subcommittee, oversees the Diversity Research Grant ...

Hi Kathleen, ASGCLA activities have been divided between RUSA, ODLOS, and Core. There are detailed reports on what has gone to each. I'm unable to get to them right now, but if you email me directly, I'll forward that information with you and post it here.

We will also take a look at the link.

    Best and Happy New Year!

Thank  you. Yes, I know ASGCLA was ended and its committees dispersed in 2020, but I had had many links in my upcoming community engagement class to  ASGCLA  activities and was checking links for the class on library services to the deaf and also prisons--these are now under ODLOS.
I used the search engine at ALA for the transition document and the link that came up in the search was to a non-ALA site; same when I went to the old page about ASGCLA for the transition document .That's when wrote to this forum
I did get a helpful response last night  from EB member, Karen Schneider, who directed me to your November 2021 report to EB where you  noted the dispersal of ASGCLA  activities. Then I was able to search for them under their new units. I was able to accomplish my goal of getting my spring 2022 class ready in the waning moments of 2021. Thank goodness for great EB minutes.
Yes, the links on the ASGCLA history page do need to be fixed.
Thank you and Karen for your help.

P.S. I asked this same Q. at Library Think Tank on FB and it was suggested I used the Wayback Machine and they were there also.

    Greetings All:

We've updated the ASGCLA webpage.  All references to asgcladirect.org have been removed.

A google search for ASGCLA should direct people to the ASGCLA webpage and not to ascgladirect.org.  Hopefully that asgcladirect link will just exists in cyberspace and be remote for anyone to find.  It no longer has a presence on the ASGCLA website.

Let us know if there is any further questions or needs!

    Kathleen,

It depends on which resources you are looking for.  The ASGCLA Accessibility Toolkits are located on the RUSA website under professional resources.  Here is the link:  https://www.ala.org/rusa/documents-topic-standards-guidelines-and-recommendations   The Accessibility Assembly is also in RUSA.   The ebook consortium went to CORE, several of the interest groups are now located in ODOLOS.  If I haven't hit on the thing you are looking for, please let me know.
This page includes three types of RUSA documents: Standards, Guidelines, and Recommendations. The RUSA Professional Resources Committee (PRC) provides oversight of the maintenance and development of these documents. For more details, see Chapter 4 of the RUSA Guide to Policies & Procedures.
I will look into the link.  That shouldn't be happening.

    Take care.

Thank you...I was looking for the list for all of them and the link to that at https://www.ala.org/asgcla/home redirects to a non-ALA site. Maybe it could be restored?
Thank you for the link to the accessibility Tool kit as that was one I needed to change out.
