Since accreditation can often relate to retention, I'm sharing this call for information on your expertise with accreditation in higher ed, for the ACRL Student learning & Info Lit Committee:
Dear colleagues, have you worked on your college or university’s accreditation team? Have you been asked to write the library-related section of a report for an accreditation agency? Do you have experience serving on campus-wide committees related to QEP or accreditation visits? Have you been asked to inform your campus colleagues about the libraries’ role in teaching and learning in preparation for an accreditation visit? If so, then we are looking for YOU to be a resource for other librarians who find themselves tasked with these kinds of projects. The ACRL Student Learning & Information Literacy Committee is pulling together a list of resources and contacts for librarians new to accreditation processes to use as a guide. If you’re interested, please share a bit about yourself and your role in campus accreditation through this survey.
