This space is for all those interested in updates and discussion regarding Transforming ALA Governance. This space was originally created to share the work of the Steering Committee on Organizational Effectiveness (SCOE) who was charged in June 2018 to carry out a comprehensive review and study of ALA’s governance, member participation and legal structures and systems, with the goal of proposing changes that will vitalize its success, strength and agility as a 21st century association. The results of this committee are the Forward Together recommendations.

    Welcome to July, Everyone!

Thank you so much to those of you at annual who participated in our IRL input sessions. They were extremely helpful in continuing to craft our recommendations and gave us excellent insight into where we're on the right track and where we need to put some more thought and considerations.

Just a reminder that we have a virtual input session scheduled for today, Monday, July 8th at 11am Pacific and due to popular demand have added another session on Friday, July 19th at 11am Pacific. Both sessions will be recorded and posted so if you can't make it, please watch the recordings and provide your input either in ALA Connect or directly to me (SCOE Chair) at lessalozada@gmail.com.

These sessions will mirror the presentation at annual with 30 minutes for webinar style Q&A.

I will be posting the most recent updated slides (we had some typos that were pointed out at Annual!) in the next few days.

    All the best,
