With ALA Midwinter only a few days away, I am sure everyone is planning their Schedule.  I would like to encourage you to add the Youth Council Caucus meeting on Sunday January 26, 2020, from 11:30 a.m. -12:45 p.m. in the Terrace IV Ballroom, Pennsylvania Convention Center  to your schedule.

The Youth Council Caucus is open to any councilor or ALA member who represents youth issues or wants to support youth on council. I invite you to join the Youth Council Caucus community on ALA Connect to stay informed. https://connect.ala.org/communities/community-home?CommunityKey=9c589589-6532-437f-803b-c682e0bbe292

Abigail Phillips is the YALSA division councilor, Julie Dietzel-Glair is the ALSC Division Councilor and I currently serve as the AASL Division Councilor.

The three youth division councilors rotate leadership at Youth Council Caucus.

    •  YALSA will lead Midwinter 2020. AASL take minutes
    • AASL will lead Annual 2020. ALSC take minutes.
    • ALSC will lead Midwinter 2021. YALSA take minutes.

If you have an item to add to the agenda, please contact me via email at dianerchen@gmail.com or via phone at 615-800-1488.

Current Youth Council Caucus agenda items include:

    • SCOE updates from the division leaders to discuss how information from that meeting could affect the youth divisions
    • ALA Executive Board candidates potential questions to present during the Candidates Forum
