Region is ISMuseum, run by the International Spaceflight Museum a Texas based 401c3. We were founded in 2006 in SL and still have two regions there. We expanded into Kitely in 2016 and have now grown to an 8x8 megaregion, not just to expand our rocket and spacecraft exhibits, but to build working training laboratories for Mars, the Moon etc.The Mars Base is our first such project, it is a 560 meter diameter facility of mesh terrain, buildings, and interactive equipment modeling a first generation Mars Colony. The goal is to make the entire facility an interactive educational tool for people to learn and train to colonize Mars, to use the equipment, troubleshoot and repair it using In Situ Resource Utilization technologies as envisioned by the Mars Society, NASA and SpaceX.
