Join this exciting group of librarians at the Charleston Conference for a practical guide to the cutting-edge of delivering accessible content to readers with print disabilities. Discover all the pieces and parts that go into getting accessible ebooks and other content from the author’s manuscript all the way to screens of the library patron.

Providing equal access to users is nothing new for libraries. Access and supporting our patrons is ingrained in every service we offer. Digital content has increased access to available resources for many users, but not all. According to the 2018 American Community Survey, over 12% of Americans are estimated to have a disability. These users may need assistance with accessing information and rely on assistive technologies such as screen-readers and other text to speech programs.

Come to this session to hear what several Universities are doing to further the mission of equal access and learn how you can utilize their experience and tips to get started or continue working on digital accessibility in your libraries or companies. Panelists will share workflows, knowledge and recommendations for audience members to use right away.
