Open Meeting Policy, Agendas & Documents
All meetings of the Board are open except when discussions affecting the privacy of individuals, institutions, or the association are held. Approximately one week before the meeting date, ACRL staff will publicly post the agenda and documents.
Virtual Open Microphone
The ACRL Board of Directors will be holding a virtual Open Microphone, and members are invited to publicly address the Board, from 2:45 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Central on June 16, 2023, during the ACRL Board Virtual Meeting. Guests planning to address the Board during the open microphone session are asked to login by 2:30 p.m. Central. Please note that this period cannot be used to request that the Board take an immediate action.
Board Document Submissions & Requests
To submit a document (e.g., petition to establish a new ACRL unit, funding request, resolution, task force report, etc.) for Board consideration, please follow the below steps.
- Complete a Board of Directors action form or discussion form working with your ACRL staff and Board liaisons. Requests for supplemental funding should comply with ACRL Policies and Procedures.
- Email your Board action form and supporting documents to apayne@ala.org and email a copy to your ACRL staff and Board liaisons.
- The Board welcomes action requests throughout the year, but for consideration at the June governance meetings, please submit by June 2, 2023.
