Charge: The composition and the duties of the Board of Directors are defined in Article IX of the ACRL Bylaws: Board of Directors. The Board of Directors shall have general oversight and direction of the affairs of the Association. It shall conduct all business pertaining to the Association, and shall have authority to make decisions for the Association during the periods between meetings.

During this year's Leadership Council & Membership Meeting, we will seek input on our five goal area committees (GAC): Value of Academic Libraries, Student Learning and Information Literacy, Research and Scholarly Environment, New Roles and Changing Landscapes, and our newest GAC, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion. We will hear updates from our two tasks forces, the Awards Process Implementation Task Force and the Member Accommodation/Compensation Task Force, and we hope to be able to have a conversation with our section leaders. Your participation will be instrumental in guiding the work ahead and in meeting the needs and values of all our members.
