    Dear colleagues,

You are invited to participate in a research study about librarians' practices and needs related to providing copyright support and educational opportunities, with a focus on copyright and the use and production of creative works. All employees of libraries at higher education institutions in the United States who are either currently engaged or interested in providing copyright support and education are invited to participate. The study's goals are to identify professional development needs related to copyright and creative works and inform the creation of professional development resources and opportunities.

Your participation in the study is voluntary and involves completing a survey with an expected time commitment of 20 minutes. You can discontinue your participation at any time by exiting the survey. You will be asked to answer questions about your experience with providing copyright support and educational opportunities, confidence in addressing copyright questions, past copyright training, and job functions.

Study data will be shared through the Open Science Framework and may be presented at professional conferences or published in research journals. However, the risks to you as a participant are minimal since survey responses will be collected anonymously.

The survey will close on April 4.

If you have any questions, concerns, or complaints about this study now or in the future, please contact Katharine Miller, (804) 827-0462, hmiller5@vcu.edu.

Follow this link to the survey: https://forms.gle/XyBSdsi5ZZbyye6bA

    Thank you,

    Katharine Miller
