Are you a librarian who is passionate about teaching? The Research Medical Library at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center has an opening for a Librarian to our support education initiatives. We're looking for candidates that have strong communication skills, a passion for finding information and engaging in research, a thirst for learning, and want to work as part of a team of librarians and editing professionals.
The responsibilities of this position will include:
- Teaching and co-teaching online classes and providing consultations for students, faculty and staff
- Coordinating assessment of all education programs so that we can continuously improve our library services
- Creating instructional materials and videos and contributing to open education projects
- Improving the design, development, and delivery of library instructional materials
- Providing reference assistance and maintaining research guides
We anticipate this position to be 100% remote through 2022. The Education & Training Librarian must reside in Texas and travel to the Houston Medical Center may be required on occasion. Successful candidates will enjoy the challenge of providing outstanding service in a virtual library environment and are able to collaborate effectively using remote work platforms.

Salary
Based on qualification and experience. Minimum $54,500.

Required Education
MLS or MIS from an ALA-accredited institution.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience teaching online. Experience working in an academic or medical library.
