Looking to make a real impact as a librarian? Join our team in Houston Texas at the #1 Cancer Center and one of the best large employers. Our librarians collaborate with researchers and health care providers to communicate discoveries effectively and to preserve the history of the institution in its drive to #endcancer. The Research Medical Library is central to the research, education, and publishing activities that help make MD Anderson the world-leading comprehensive cancer center.
The Education Librarian develops curriculum and teaches face-to-face and online classes covering information-seeking and evidence-based practice skills for all levels of students from undergraduates to faculty. Candidates should have a desire to teach, strong instructional design skills, and an ability to assess and analyze the effectiveness of classes and programs. The librarian will develop marketing materials and manage social media channels. With training provided, they will be expected to answer clinical, medical, and scientific reference questions. Strong customer service, organization, and communication skills are required.
