    Hi all,

Thought this free webinar from the GSA might be of interest to those who are navigating remediation and prioritization plans for PDFs or other electronic documents at their library:

Fix, Rebuild, or Retire? How Counties and Cities Are Prioritizing Legacy PDFs

    Wednesday, September 30th 12pm Central

The U.S. federal government just measured its own document accessibility - and found that of 4.6 million electronic documents reported, only 38% of those actually tested were fully conformant. If that's what the federal government is facing, most cities and counties are sitting on the same problem without ever having counted it.

This roundtable brings together the people who run the federal government's own Section 508 accessibility program: Andrew Nielson, Director of the Government-wide IT Accessibility Program at GSA, and Kristen Smith-O'Connor, Senior Accessibility Subject Matter Expert at GSA.

They'll talk through how cities and counties can actually triage a legacy PDF backlog - what to fix, what to rebuild, and what's safe to retire, with the deadline pressure of Title II now real. No slides, no theory - a live, specific conversation about the calls these panelists have actually made, not the ones they'd make hypothetically.
