Charge: This discussion group will be open to all who wish to share knowledge about information commons/learning commons. It is very important to begin this discussion group when the concept of the information commons is still in its formative stages, since this time period will provide a resource for newly opened commons to share their experiences and to track the evolution of more established commons. This discussion group will provide a forum at the annual meetings where librarians who are involved with or interested in information commons/learning commons can learn about and foster ideas pertinent to the concept of the information commons/learning commons. Meetings of the discussion group will give an opportunity to share new developments at individual facilities, innovative service implementations, present successful projects, and understand current trends in the field.
Community members can post as a new Discussion or email ALA-acrllcdg@ConnectedCommunity.org
