    Hello, Everyone!
California Institute of the Arts (CalArts) is currently seeking a Reference and Instruction Librarian: https://calarts.edu/work-for-calarts/employment-listing/reference-and-instruction-librarian-15

As Chair of the Search Committee for this position, you are welcome to contact me, Sam Crawford (scrawford@calarts.edu), with any specific questions you may have about the position description.  The Reference and Instruction Librarian's position description has been (slightly) revised; the search has now been reopened, and it reflects a Full-Time, Regular Faculty appointment.  If there are any questions that I'm unable to answer in my capacity as Chair, I will gladly direct them to our Institute Librarian, Joan Jocson-Singh (jjocsonsingh@calarts.edu).
While not a dance-centric role, the Reference and Instruction Librarian will regularly engage with students from the School of Dance (among others!) as well as with a range of dance-related resources and questions in their reference and instruction work.  There are myriad creative and collaborative possibilities here at CalArts, both within the Library and across the Institute, so any and all interested individuals who feel that they meet the qualifications and expectations of the position (as outlined in the position description) are welcomed and encouraged to apply.
Please feel free to share this opportunity widely.
    Thanks, y'all!
    Yours appreciatively,
    Sam Crawford
