Hello everyone,
Looking for some advice-I'm on a scoping review team and we're working on our grey lit search strategy. Our topic is youth engagement or youth advisory board engagement in health science research in low-to-middle-income countries. Specifically, evaluations/assessments of how YABs function in the research process. An advisory professor suggested getting the grey lit search started using a GenAI tool, just to see what it came up, perhaps pointing us in the best direction. We would still search specific organization sites (e.g. UNICEF, WHO, Save the Children) ourselves, but are intrigued by the lure of saving some time since grey lit searching can easily turn into an absolute bear.
Has anyone every used AI in this way? And if so, how did you report it out in the methods' section of the paper? Or is it just not an acceptable option?
Thanks,
