Charge: The composition and the duties of the Board of Directors are defined in Article IX of the ACRL Bylaws: Board of Directors. The Board of Directors shall have general oversight and direction of the affairs of the Association. It shall conduct all business pertaining to the Association, and shall have authority to make decisions for the Association during the periods between meetings.

    I’m pleased to share that the ACRL Budget & Finance Committee reviewed and approved virtually a recommendation to the ACRL Board of Directors regarding the FY21 budgets for ACRL and Choice.

    The Board is invited to review the attached Board action form and documents regarding the FY21 budgets for ACRL and Choice, and have discussion in ALA Connect during the period of 8/14/2020–8/24/2020. Please note that ACRL staff will be on furlough during August 16-22, but staff will be available to respond to any questions during August 23-24.

    Following the discussion period, the Board will vote on the FY21 budget through a virtual vote during 8/25/2020–8/28/2020, and confirm its vote at the next face-to-face meeting.
