Dear ANSS Liaison Committee,
I want to apologize for dropping the ball on the call for the ACJS liaison and not completing the documents in order to send out for applicants this December. We will need to make those changes and set new deadlines in order to have someone in place for this coming July. Perhaps we can discuss those dates during our Midwinter virtual meeting and complete the documents.
I would also like to finish the ongoing discussion on the blogs so we can get them in place shortly after Midwinter. We are very close, just need to come up with a name and finalize the logistics in order to put them into action.
Our ASA liaison has had to resign, from Maud:
"It is with regret that I am writing to inform you that I am unable to continue my term serving as the ACRL Liaison to American Sociological Association. The reason being that I am relocating to another State due to my husband’s job transfer. I will be looking for a new job and feel that I will not be able to give this role my full attention it deserves."
We will need to discuss filling this position as well.
I am hoping to have our Midwinter Virtual Meeting using Google Hangouts, as that has proven successful in the past. We need to meet before Executive meets at the end of January. Please fill out the Doodle Poll (poll will be set in EST as I am located on the East Coast)
Please pass on any suggested agenda items.
