    Hello everyone,
    The ACRL DSS Digital Collections Discussion Group, in collaboration with the Digital Humanities Discussion Group and the Professional Development Committee, will be hosting a 4-part series to learn the basics of Python programming.  Our series comprise the following four sessions, to be taught by Nathan Kelber, the Constellate Education Manager for JSTOR Labs:
    Session 1 (April 18th) will introduce operators, expressions, data types, variables, and basic functions.
    Session 2 (April 20th) will expand into flow control using boolean operators, if statements, loops, and exception handling.
    Session 3 (April 22nd) will examine functions, including writing your own functions, parameters/arguments, and local/global scope.
    Session 4 (April 25th) will address working with data at scale using lists and dictionaries.
    Course materials are licensed for re-use CC-BY with video content and practice exercises. Each session is 75 minutes.  For registration information, view the flyer attached.
