Charge: The composition and the duties of the Board of Directors are defined in Article IX of the ACRL Bylaws: Board of Directors. The Board of Directors shall have general oversight and direction of the affairs of the Association. It shall conduct all business pertaining to the Association, and shall have authority to make decisions for the Association during the periods between meetings.

    The Board is invited to review the a request from the Student Learning and Information Literacy Committee (SLILC) regarding the transition of Framework sandbox management from SLILC to Instruction Section, and have discussion during the period of 3/1/19–3/11/19.

    Please post comments regarding the request using threaded discussion to provide feedback regarding the content.

    Following the discussion period, the Board will vote on the request via virtual vote during 3/12/19–3/17/19 and confirm its vote at the 2019 ALA Annual Conference.

    The President's discussed this at our last meeting.  The information in the Board Action form is well thoughtout.  My only concern is that we have funded the sandbox through FY20.  After the funding period ends,  there may need to be discussion about the sustainability of the sandbox.  Who will make that decision?  The Board or the Instruction Section.
