    Dear ACRL Committee Chairs,

With 2019 coming to a close, I want to check-in with some updates and reminders before the new year.

Please don't hesitate to reach out to your staff liaison, Board liaison, or me if you have questions that come up throughout the year.

    Best wishes,

ACRL Midwinter Board Doc Deadline: Extended to December 20

The ACRL Board of Directors will be meeting at the upcoming 2020 ALA Midwinter Meeting. To submit a document (e.g., petition to establish a new ACRL unit, funding request, resolution, task force report, etc.) for Board consideration, follow the below steps by December 20, 2019.

    1. Complete a Board of Directors action form or discussion form working with your ACRL staff and Board liaisons. Requests for supplemental funding should comply with ACRL Policies and Procedures.
    2. Email your Board action form and supporting documents to Allison, with copy to your staff and Board liaisons by the deadline. If you need an extension, contact me in advance of the deadline so that space can be allocated in the draft Board meeting agenda.

Please expect an email acknowledging receipt of your submission within one business day of submission. If you do not receive a confirmation, please email again or call Allison at 312-280-2519.

ACRL President Karen Munro also recently sent an invite to all ACRL leaders for the ACRL Leadership Welcome Breakfast, which will be held at the 2020 ALA Midwinter Meeting. ACRL 2020–2021 Committee Appointments

The volunteer form officially opened on December 2, 2019 and all applications will be due February 14, 2020. In the coming weeks, the ACRL Appointments Committee will be in contact with committee chairs for recommendations on reappointment. For more information on the volunteer process, please visit the ACRL Volunteer page.

    ACRL Virtual Meetings

ACRL offers use of its two Zoom virtual meeting rooms to its membership groups. If your group meets virtually, an agenda should still be submitted to your staff liaison and posted to ALA Connect at least 10 days before the meeting. The meeting minutes should also be submitted to your staff liaison and posted to ALA Connect within 30 days after the virtual meeting.
