Reminder: Official minutes should aim to capture the conversation at a high level and not attribute specific comments to any one person. ACRL 2019–2020 Committee Appointments
The volunteer form will open December 3, 2018 and all applications will be due Feburary 15, 2019. After the form opens in December, the ACRL Appointments Committee will be in contact with committee chairs for recommendations on reappointment and to confirm chair appointments. The Call for Volunteers will be posted on ACRL Insider and shared though ACRL social media. Please contact apayne@ala.org if you have any questions about division-level committee appointments.
ACRL LibGuides
ACRL is pleased to offer LibGuides to its membership groups. ACRL units can create LibGuides to advance the work of ACRL by providing resources for the profession, such as toolkits and bibliographies. If your committee is interested in creating a LibGuide, please contact apayne@ala.org.
Project Information Literacy Report
ACRL and the Knight Foundation recently released the Project Information Literacy research report, "How Students Engage with News: Five Takeaways for Educators, Journalists, and Librarians." The open access report presents findings about how a sample of U.S. college students gather information and engage with news in the digital age.
