Please see the following invite from ACRL President Karen A. Williams.
I am writing today to invite you to the ACRL Leadership Council that will be held on Friday at the 2015 ALA Midwinter Conference in Chicago. Because you chair or serve on one of ACRL’s committees or Communities of Practice’s sections or interest groups, you are part of the ACRL Leadership Council. As members of the Leadership Council, we look to you for guidance on various strategic issues facing the Association. Your participation and contributions at this session contribute to the success of ACRL in advancing the Plan for Excellence.
The Leadership Council meets twice a year during the ALA MW and Annual Conference meetings. The meeting provides a forum for the Board of Directors, ACRL Division-level Committee and Communities of Practice leaders, Budget & Finance Committee members, ACRL Representatives, Liaisons and the Chapters Council Officers to come together to chart ACRL’s course.
We are finalizing plans for the Leadership Council and will send you the agenda soon. Your participation will be instrumental in continuing to guide the work of the association towards the values of its members.
Come early and welcome new leaders and reconnect with colleagues at the Leadership Council Networking Session over some light refreshments.
Mark your calendar and RSVP today for this important leadership session.
