Measuring the success of the diversity toolkit by the ACRL will depends on implementation of either one of the two tracks proposed.  Track one is to migrate the toolkit to an ACRL platform like the examples provided by other toolkits within the ACRL’s resources.  Track two is to simply add the toolkit’s url to the Diversity Committee Resources section.  We already have two diversity resources listed under this section.  The diversity toolkit fits in perfectly.

    1. Making a statement about the IL Framework- The committee will make a statement to the IL Framework committee in reference to adding language to the IL Framework that acknowledges the role that culture plays in how students engage in the information literacy classroom, and supports librarians implementing culturally responsive teaching methods.

We will consider the diversity statement to the IL Framework committee a success by receiving an acknowledgement from the committee of receiving the statement and a review of our concerns.  Hopefully, there will be a follow up from the IL Framework committee.  However, we simply wanted to point out the voids and the opportunities for more inclusive language and service.
